Research: The Key to Successful Niche Marketing

Although you don’t have to have any specialized knowledge or training to be successful as a niche marketer, you will have to educate yourself regarding several aspects of the niche marketing business Fortunately, all of the tools you need are right at your fingertips; on the information superhighway

Research Your Niche

Even if you know a lot about your niche topic, you will still need to do some basic homework. There are several products aimed at the Pay per Click marketer which anyone can use to do this with pinpoint accuracy, and two come from the same source.

The first will provide accurate information about the strengths and weaknesses of any given affiliate marketing campaign on the SEARCH network. The second will provide similar information about campaigns on the CONTENT network.

If you can identify profitable campaigns on either - or both - networks, you can create competing websites very quickly and move into profit.

The first tool is PPC Bully, which I recently reviewed here.

PPC Bully carries a monthly fee of $50.00, which some may not be able to afford, but the rewards outweigh the cost. That is because PPC Bully not only rewards patience with precise data about what is happening in any given niche market, but, more to the point, identifies successful keyword campaigns. It doesn’t stop there. It also shows you which pay per click campaigns are successful, and displays profitable ads and squeeze pages.

Even if you aren’t remotely interested in PPC marketing, this information can provide you with the laser-targeted keywords and phrases you need to create successful SEO campaigns for your niche websites.

Knowing which keywords to use to tweak your own website provides you with an immense SEO advantage over your competition.

Another powerful tool is available from the same publisher, and it is free. Yes, there is a ($67) Professional version, but there is a free version which I personally have found incredibly useful.

It’s called PPC Content Bully, and you’ll find my review here.

Content Bully will identify high traffic sites using keywords you provide. The assumption here, a safe one, is that high traffic sites using your keywords are probably successful - i.e. profitable - in marketing products associated with the keywords.

So Content Bully will identify your profitable competition without your having invested a cent.

Another great research tool is KeyCompete.com. Although the free service is limited, it can still be useful. For instance, entering the keyword “tattoo design” will produce a list of five websites using that keyword in their Adwords advertising.

Clicking on those five website listings will produce a short list of some of the other keywords these sites are using. You can collect the keywords for all of the sites shown and use the best of them to tweak your website.

All the best,

Ken
